I am working on a post about baking some Rustic Italian Bread this weekend. I got fantastic results with just yeast, water, flour, salt, labor and time and a great recipe (I found it at http://www.cookography.com/2008/rustic-italian-bread.)
I'll have my own version of the recipe and pictures up before long.
It's making me hungry, thinking about that yummy bread. Too bad I didn't anticipate how writing about it would make me want it all over again! If only I had another one ready to pop into the oven....
In the meantime, catch up with me at The City Farmgirl Blog at maryjanesfarm! See ya there!

Local Food, Local Music
These are "my people."
I don't know them personally, but I KNOW them.
This is a Farm-To-Table Event that I WISH I had attended.
http://grist.org/sustainable-food/southern-hospitality-from-farm-to-table-video/
Like the first farmer. He's the meat farmer with his "Mother's Finest" t-shirt.
Does anybody else know who Mother's Finest is?
If you were a white kid who grew up in the south in the '70s,
you KNOW who Mother's Finest is.
Which is kinda funny.
A bunch of nerdy white kids singing this funky rock.
Yep, we knew every word to every song.

"There is no other, to compare to you...." just singing me some Mother's Finest this Fat Tuesday!

Coolest Snow Moon Ever
I have been so busy, here and there, FACEBOOKING and all.
A-hem.
Y'all weren't kidding. It is easy to spend some time on Facebook, that's for sure.
(Have you friended me yet? Please do!)
Anyway, I just uploaded some pictures from the full moon in February, called the
"Snow Moon."
Now, we haven't had snow this year. Not a flurry have I seen.
But the photos I took of the Snow Moon turned out totally cool.
It was peeking through the branches of a tree.
Seriously cool, don't you think?
